CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

The Gañafote Cup organizing committee works months in advance to ensure the best sporting experience for all participants. We understand that unforeseen circumstances beyond our control may arise, so we have established the following cancellation policy:

1. Cancellations through January 18, 2027

  • Refund: A 100% refund of the amount paid will be issued.
  • Mandatory requirement: The request must be accompanied by an official medical certificate stating that the player is unable to participate in sports, or by an official document from the sports federation that conclusively justifies the player’s inability to attend.

2. Cancellations through February 1, 2027

  • Refund: A refund of 50% of the amount paid will be issued.
  • Essential requirement: As in the previous case, this partial refund will be issued only upon presentation of an official medical certificate or an official federation document.

3. Cancellations on or after February 1, 2027, or failure to appear

  • Cancellations for personal reasons that do not include the required medical or federation documentation, as well as failure to appear at the tournament, will not entitle the participant to any refund.

PROCEDURE FOR PROCESSING A WITHDRAWAL

For the cancellation to take effect and the refund process to begin, the team leader must follow these steps:

  • Contact: Send an email to jose.betanzos@ganafote.com with the subject line “Cancellation – [Player Name and Team + Year]”.
  • Attachments: Please include the supporting document (medical report or federation certificate) in the email as a scanned copy or in a readable format.
  • Resolution: Once the documentation has been received and verified, the organization will issue the corresponding refund within a maximum of 30 calendar days, using the same payment method used for registration.

IMPORTANT: The calculation of the number of days (more or less than 30) will be based strictly on the official start date of the event: March 19, 2027.

FAILURE TO MEET PAYMENT DEADLINES

  • Adherence to the payment schedule is strictly required to guarantee a spot in the tournament and accommodations. If a club falls 5 days behind on any of the official payment dates, GÑF Cup may release the rooms reserved for that team and remove the club from the tournament, without entitling the club to any refund of the amounts paid to date.
